Godfrey is an interesting one in that you almost want to let him off the leash as a bit of a rockweiler against the incoming forward...but at the same time you need the covering defender to have the pace behind him...or at least be extremely adept positionally to cover for him.

Keane to me is more of a reactive player and Mina also seems to want to come and face the opposition forward.

This is an area i think we'll look at in the summer.
Would not trust him entirely in a two currently... However, that's for a different day when we are all a bit more positive.

Find it mad that he only started playing in defence a few years ago. If his reading of the game and distribution develops anywhere near the level of his physical attributes and aggressive playing style, he could go on to be an elite level footballer.
I honestly thought we'd of heard him announced in the latest England squad, what a future this lad's got and I hope it's with us.

Everton posted about Godfrey and Reo Ferdinand had a nice word to say about him under it while a bitter manc had something else to say..

Not sure if anyone is watching England U21s but Godfrey has just ‘accidentally’ stamped on someone’s face and somehow got away with it. Now I’m all for a little snide in a player but he may need to curb it slightly so he doesn’t eventually get a red/ban whatever. Would like to think it was an accident. Game wise he’s been very good defensively and put in 2 or 3 wonder blocks in the first half to keep them in it (losing 1-0 now, Portugal way better)

How can you insinuate it was intentional snide if you don’t even know? Bit strange.
