They all do. Micheal Keane has been terrible for us yet theres been shouts to bring him back in and play him upfront.Amazing how he becomes a better defender when he doesnt play.
Before he signed for us, I read a bit about him. In Norwich, he was supposedly used as a central midfielder to develop exactly what you mention, before they then started using him as a centre-back. It is also a bit strange that he played centre-back for a typical ball-possessing team before he came to us, and that in this style he impressed many. The lad is a horrific ball player, his positional awareness as a CH is also poor.
However, for me he is better as a defensive full back than both Coleman and Myko, and as neither of them two offer anything going forward then we wouldn't be missing anything.
His speed alone would help cover the slowest CHs in the league Coady/Tarks/Mina, and he would sit on the halfway line at all our set pieces to cover the break (he's also the one defender we have that would snap an attacker before they got near our box).
Exactly. I think Godfrey’s better suited to full back at the moment as he’s less exposed to being pulled out of position like he is at centre back. It’s not like Mykolenko is whipping in dangerous crosses. He offers nothing going forwards and is really slow. Godfrey would have been far more effective at trying to cut out that counter attack last night.Let's be honest about this, Godfrey, although by no means a world beater, is as good a footballer as Mykolenko. Godfrey, however, is bigger, more aggressive and far quicker, all qualities sadly lacking in our current full backs.

Once again pace is not enough in a CB.Has genuine pace. Won't get any better being overlooked. If we persist with the corner routines and FK routines, having him mop up the counters from the center spot seems ideal. Tired of philosophy and stubbornness - its time to play to our strengths. QUICKLY!
