I've never known a manager to receive so much abuse in all my life. Before he officially signed he was getting death threats, at the club whilst he was dealing with a multitude of problems he was constantly abused, after he left he was still getting flamed on social media with threats telling him to die, after we beat a lacklustre Brentford side, fans were calling him all the names under the sun, now we lose in Lampard second game and its all Rafas fault. Best fans in the world.

I totally agree mate. What do you think needs to be done about this cancer?

What's the weather like in Caldy this morning?

Norwich, Watford, Brighton, Palace, the RS, Brentford, City, Wolves and West Ham. Get back to your shine box.

Revelling in the fact we lost so he can try to make a point.

Only one who should be apologising is him for all the contempt he showed his fellow fans for 6 months.
Let's revisit the question. Is it the players, or the manaher?
I don't think sacking him after the derby would've made any difference. We're just that bad

Why in actual F are you trying to defend the worst manager I can think of in our history? I suspect you are trying, very badly, to save face. You chose to go over the top with your support of the FSW.

Just delete your account and start a new one. You lost when you openly defended the Kopite who was actively tearing us down.

No mate.

Yesterday was all the proof needed that the calm heads who lambasted our players and pointed out the horrendous injury list were not "Benitez sycophants" they were indeed correct.

Bit of both. But benitez was a terrible option. You have a group of players, who supposedly throw managers under the bus, so you hire a manager which they can immediately do that to because the fans hate him.

Also, his style of football was abysmal which also makes it easier for players to opt out. His style also doesn't work in the PL anymore. Which is why Dyche is getting relegated, and why Mourinho got sacked after taking Spurs to their lowest position in like 10 years.

Losing Gray and Holgate being an idiot was what blew the game yesterday, until that point we were the better team. Losing Mina early as well and Gomes getting a yellow, meant Lampard couldn't change the system when needed by using DCL.

But you know, Benitez fixed the medical department right?

Yes we are, because we demand the best. As per our motto. The things you say above are the absolute minority. Which all clubs have. So don't make out like it's the whole fan base.

Which football club do you support?

1 win in 14 games. Benitez deserved to be sacked. You can't defend that sort of record, and it will be the reason we go down, if this can't be turned around. Once you go into a slide like that then things spiral out of control.

Tonight shown the problems are not down to Benitez but the shambolic players particularly Coleman, Keane, Holgate & Gomes masquerading as PL footballers in addition to constant injuries to our better players.

A few posters on here who've taken pelters all season for acknowledging the above deserve apology's tbh.

You really aren`t doing yourself any favours at all.

I`ll ask you again, why are you still here ?

You don`t support Everton and other than when Benitez was manager, you have no interest in Everton.

Yet, here you are, still banging the Benitez drum.

Just go away.

He did but it wasn't because he was a bad manager or wasn't coaching the defenders to do their jobs.

Koeman
Silva
Ancelotti
Benitez
Lampard????

When does the penny finally drop that the common denominator here isn't the manager?

We have a rotten squad signed by two inept DOF's and a medical department that cant keep players fit (who also ballsed up Gbamin, let Bolasie try run off a knee ligament rupture and gave Iwobi 5 minutes on the pitch to shake off a hammie pull).

If we go down or stay but continue to languish in midtable its not largely down to the manager its a combination of the above that existed long before Bogeyman Benitez stepped foot in FF.

The players are terrible but they are a midtable squad who should be 9th-12th or so, not slap bang in trouble.

And I'm not judging Lampard after 2 matches. Especially since he inherited a team who have been absolutely ruined by the negative tactics and outdated methods of the previous boss.

Not defending Benitez. But this group were dreadful in the 2nd half of last season also. 3 wins in Carlo's last 13 games, Carlo complaining about them in post-match interviews. This is a rot that set in way before Benitez.
