I don’t think we’re going to see the best of him on the wing. I think it is a bit like Gylfi last year. I think Bernard is better as a playmaker in the middle.

Thought he was very tidy in possession, intelligent. Needs to stop bottling it in front of goal mind.

He's a tricky little player, causes problems for the full back whenever he gets on the ball, even if his dribbles don't always come off. He also just works hard in general.

Be made up when he eventually bags for us.. just needs a bit more compose.

Messed up with the chance but he is a class player and we have to look beyond little errors and see more of what he offers.

Funnily enough you can see its a confidence thing.

Compare his assists against the likes of Brighton and Leicister in comparison to this and his Utd's miss.

He knows how to slow it down but I feel against the top sides he knows how important it is to score and I feel he puts too much pressure on himself.

If we had a genuine top quality striker up top with Richarlison out wide and Bernard coming off the bench I think he would be much more confident.

He'll only get better as he gets fitter, he still hasn't got a full 90 minutes in him yet but that will come, I don't think his miss today was to do with confidence but more just the way the ball bounced
