And for all the people on this forum who back him to death honestly what top 6 side does he get into? You could easily make cases for the likes of Richarlison, Gana, Digne and Siggurdson but who seriously would Bernard start for without bias

I don’t disagree with you mate, but respect your opinion nevertheless. My point with him is that sometimes a player is worth x to a team, but the value becomes xxx if they click with another player. Bernard add massive value to the team b cute he blends so well with Diane, similar to Pienaar and Baines. Pienaar bombed at Spurs because he wasn’t with Baines, the pair were far far more effective than the individuals.

I thought Bernard was supremely fun to watch last season, especially in that we'd just escaped the dirgey play of the sad gravy era. His spark really leapt out from the first even as he wasn't making all the connections he needs to. I expect him to be more fully in control of his abilities this season.
