The way he picked the ball up about two minutes after coming on, cut back, slowed down time itself then knocked it to Sigurdsson for the assist is something I haven’t seen from an Everton player in years.
Exactly, a player actually looking up when playing a ball through. Who’d have thought it!Made a refreshing change from someone lashing a hopeful cross at the defender’s leg without looking up.

Agree with starting against the top 6It also shows just what he can do when there's space in front of him.
However, you rarely get that space in the first half of Premier League games.
It's why the clamour for him to be chucked in needs to stop. We're easing him in and I'm sure he'll start against Southampton, but not every game will suit him starting.
Ironically enough, I can see his best games being against the top six clubs. That's when I'd be looking to start him for sure, as he gives us so much pace/compsure on the counter.
I never expected such a signing under Moyes later on, but from the moment Martinez took over I've been crying out for a player like this. It's been badly badly needed.
I can't wait to see this guy when fully fit and starting week in week out.
Never mind all this "results business" dull grey attitude. I want entertainment. The beautiful game.
A footballer. An actual real footballer in the final third who can carry the ball, pick a pass and do something a bit different.
Hallelujah
