All of those players have managed to produce less than Bernard whilst he actually does the hard work on both sides of the ball which is sad.

With the possible exception of Iwobi they have all been worse. That does not mean that Bernard has been good enough. I don't think anyone in our team has failed to work hard this year so that isn't something that separates players at the moment.

He's been disappointing. I don't want to go there. Evaluating our players against each other misses that they all kind of stink aside from Richarlison, Mina, Digne, Sidibe and possibly DCL and Pickford.

Played well today. I think he starts in our best XI tbh. Physically he's obviously lacking but his footballing brain stands out for a mile in our squad.

He moved central quite a lot yesterday as Digne was pushing on down the left side.
I thought he was involved quite a lot yesterday, and they were all looking for balls through the centre a lot more. Barnard has the skill to do this and with time, this will be a real improvement.

Played very well on Thursday. Found space regularly, constantly a threat, made good decisions. Has the football brain. If only he had an extra yard of pace would have defenders petrified.

Bernard always seems to get hurt at crucial times for me, and that is one of my worries with him. He started the season off very well with two goals, got hurt, came back and started slow, started playing well again and got hurt. We already have enough injury problems as it is so we don’t need him to keep trying to regain form. Stay healthy and work from there.

Ancelotti hopes the knee injury is not too bad but says tests will be carried out at Finch Farm on Thursday.
"I don't know but I think it is not too serious but we are going to check tomorrow," Ancelotti said.
He had a lot of pain and so we changed. I hope he can recover quickly."

If it was a big cut like reported, then someone needs to have a quiet word with Mina. You have to be careful in warm up
