You’re basically saying he’s not played well since the 17th August because he scored in that game completely ignoring the fact after that he scored and bummed West Ham. He also missed a large chunk of time injured and I’d say the United game was when he was properly back.

The West Ham game is the only other one. I really think those are the 3 best performances he's had this year. And he was good outside the goal against Watford it's just at the time people used that as a "see he can score" moment when it was just a bit fortunate. West Ham he also might have been are 4th best attacker despite scoring. A lot of good showings that day.
By “the only other one” are you still trying to push that he can’t have played well unless he scored till this weekend gone????

No I'm willing to say he had a good game when he didn't score if it happens. I don't think it has happened this term before Saturday. The goals happened to coincide with his best all round games.

Certainly our most skillful midfielder. I just wish he would try more shots, as I believe he could certainly score more than he does. If fit, he should always start now, especially with 2 up front, who can benefit from his creativity. A joy to watch at times, which isn’t true of much of our current squad.

He has no confidence in front of goal, real shame and its a hard thing to fix...shame is his passing is generally superb... If instead of shooting at goal, if he could relax and try pass the ball into the net I think he'd get more goals...
