Best kid who never made it for whatever reason

Wasn't Steve Simonsen the most expensive keeper in the country when we signed him?

Based on what I've seen so far I have to say Victor Anichebe, but he's still got time to prove me wrong in fairness, if he gets his head right.

the simonsen deal was dodgy as hell and should be disregarded...Johnson shifting money between businesses.

I remember seeing Jon O Conner and thinking he could be great. But then I think back to Joe Royle's kiss of death (i.e. O conner as a future england captain, Tony Grant as the next Le Tissier/Cantona/Platini rolled into one, Michael Branch as the next Robbie fowler).

buddy coyle was better than bill kenny all day long

good shout that, i used to go the reserve games a lot and that kid had everything, imagine peter reid with speed, andy grey said in one of his books he was the best young player he had seen, knocked about will the same lads he grew up with, unfortunatly they were into weed ect billy kenny wasnt as good at that stage, buddy coyle was running the games at that level even agaist older pros.martin murry was a strange one had all the skill, but was homesick, forest tried to get him years later but we blocked it because we held his registration, bit arl arse on him i thought. gary jones was another one looked a world beater for the reserves but nothing for the first team if he had any confidence what a player we would have had on are hands.

Vidarsson looked quality at youth level but then was inexplicably let go, looks quality for Iceland at senior level at 19 now.
