Best Player You've Seen Live???

Messi for Barcelona (in Houston for a friendly against Club America)

Rooney for Everton (against Leeds at Elland Road)

Ronaldinho for Barcelona (again, same friendly)

Henry for NY Red Bulls (against Houston Dynamo in Houston)

Unsworth for Everton (against Spurs at Goodison)

(Sorry but I had to throw the Unsy reference in.....)

My all time favourite player I was lucky enough to see in him the flesh twice.

Alvaro Recoba.

Also got my money's worth watching these lids in their prime.

Wayne Rooney

David Beckham

Raul

Henry

Idan Tal (ok he was only a sub that day)

I'm mega repping you for Recoba!!! =)

Seen messi and ronaldinho both score for barca against seviila in the nou camp a few years ago, at the time goofy was in his prime and was amazing.

Roy Keane loads of times, unbelievable presence on the pitch, you could really see the respect opponents had for him during games, he had an aura about him.

More like wary that he may have a pre-prepared tackle for them, absolute thug and a disgrace.

Yes whatever reidy, he was a hard man on the pitch but there is nothing wrong with that, i bet you wouldnt have minded him play for us as we might have won something with him in the side. Stupid comment to make as you have just disregarded how effective a player he was to concentrate a negative.

Do you remember the incident with viera in the tunnell at old trafford, its a stand out for me of what a leader he was, he stood up to be counted and didnt shirk his repsonsibilities. How we could do with some of that sometimes. Just because he didnt have the silky skills of a messi or idan tal doesnt mean he cant be regarded as one of the best players i have seen.

Hated him before he admitted going out to purposely injure someone, and if he hadn't played for ushoited then they would've hated him as well, if he'd been in an arsenal shirt then he would be regarded as the anti-christ by those at o.t. and if he'd been an England player stamping his authority on some Irish player at Lansdowne then I've no doubt that you would hate him as well.

Missing the Champions league final is what's known as Karma.

I did see Big Nev at my first match.

Granted, it was 1997 so he wasn't exactly the goalkeeping force that we all knew and loved.

Alan Shearer back in 1995/96 playing for Blackburn vs. QPR (back when they were in the PL). He was immense at that time.

Peter Schmeichel in EC 2000 playing for Denmark vs. Czech Republic in Liege, at that time he was the only Danish player who even tried.

Giggsy for me when he played for Wales.. Talk about a one man team. Shame that all the pressure on him made him want to retire from international football so young. A great player then and not too bad now!

Rooney in his early days, the excitement in the air at away games knowing we had this monster that wanted letting out of his cage to cause carnage on the pitch.

Beckham in his prime, dismantled us, i remember sitting in the park end, we lost 4-0. Mandatory signature Becks freekick included of course.

Bergkamp. Just all round.

Rafael Van Der Vaart 17 years old playing for Ajax against NAC in 2001, was tipped for big things back then.

Hulk and Falcao for Porto against Vitoria Setubal a few years back, they were out of this world and still both top class.

Also watched Lille v St Etienne around 04/05 - Piquionne & Zakora were playing, now of West Ham and Spurs fame, but not exactly the best.

Tony Adams, at least two steps ahead of the strikers, read the game so well and controlled one of the best defences over the past 20 years. He's Demeanor made it for me, always looked like he was playing with a backache, tired and hungover. He looked like he was preparing for a Sunday league kick about but he could make the best strikers look like they were a level below. Would love to of seen him at his peak against Drogba.

Best player iv'e seen recently is probably Essien, the most complete midfielder playing. Absolute rampaging Bull.

Best Everton player iv'e seen, Kanchelskis was a level above (on occassion).

Hulk's a beast.. Is he still at Porto? Can remember a few big name teams chasing him

He's still there last time i checked...

I just love the fact his name is Givanildo Vieira de Souza, but eveyone calls him 'Hulk' coz he looks like actor Lou Ferrigno, who played the original Hulk...

classic.
