Spellow or Harlech - both got sound ale.

The abbey was sound but I haven’t been for a while.

Royal Oak and the Brick sound if you don’t mind it chocker.

I Wouldn’t go in the Frost if I was using someone else’s money.
I've never understood the attraction either. I get the ale is fairly priced and kept well, but for me, it's regularly far too busy.
 


The Lisbon is probably the best, can also get a date for the night if you play your cards right.
That's very predictable when this comes up. The last time I went to Goodison, a long time ago, we went to The Anfield.

Shocking name, I know, but a fairly short walk away and the ale was Ok.
 
Maybe because recent years it's been the easiest place to park but last several times on match day I've ended up at Top House. Although once the woman behind the bar couldn't understand my dad because he wasn't scouse enough.
