I went the Globe in Cases Street this afternoon while the missus went shopping around town. The ale was top notch!
Worked with a John Foy in Jersey think his folks owned the county court at some stage.The current owners of the Cobden are the previous owners of the County Court during it's heyday. When they left it deteriorated quite swiftly!
Off the top of my head I would currently go for Pi, The Ship, The Eddie, The Globe, Ye Cracke, Belv, Baltic Fleet, Lion Tavern and The Turks Head.
But then there's the Pen Factory, Grapes (Knight Street... the other doesn't exist to me), Roscoe Head, Rigby's and many others.

Watched the Cheltenham gold cup in there a few years ago. Scran watch all the races and the waitresses going the bookies for you. Cracking gaffIts the pub at the back of rigbys on the other side of the courtyard, they sell all the boss beers aswell
