Best Pubs in Merseyside

I went the Globe in Cases Street this afternoon while the missus went shopping around town. The ale was top notch!

Used to love it in there when I was younger, did a pint and a short for £2 on Monday during the day.

Crap bitter and no name Vodka, but when you were on a drinking budget it did the trick !

When I get down for the odd weekend we go to the old Coopers for the afternoon to get blitzed, then back to the hotel for a kip before heading off for an evening sesh.
Ain't the greatest pub and a tight squeeze even on a quiet (yeah right!) day in there.
Has some good young and old crooners when they play the croaky oaky, which is always!

The current owners of the Cobden are the previous owners of the County Court during it's heyday. When they left it deteriorated quite swiftly!

Off the top of my head I would currently go for Pi, The Ship, The Eddie, The Globe, Ye Cracke, Belv, Baltic Fleet, Lion Tavern and The Turks Head.

But then there's the Pen Factory, Grapes (Knight Street... the other doesn't exist to me), Roscoe Head, Rigby's and many others.
Worked with a John Foy in Jersey think his folks owned the county court at some stage.

Lads...
