They spent the previous 4 eps setting up this episode (tho you don't need to watch them). It a 3 man play only on TV. The entire episode just keeps getting more and more intense. Amazing.

I haven't watched this Mr Robot episode but you've just reminded me of the incredible tracking shot in True Detective series 1. Might not be the best episode of TV but has to be one of the best scenes.

Any ep from TD S1 is a masterpiece.

Star Trek DS9:
In the Pale Moonlight

The standard of writing on that show was so high - that, “Duet”, “Far Beyond the Stars” or “For the Uniform”… all brilliant. Easily the best Star Trek show.

Interesting that, Sopranos aside, the shows that frequently held up as the best such as The Wire, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers are more difficult to pick a single episode above the rest.
