I'd have a hefty bet none are as gash as maupay
Beto is clearly being brought in to unlock his potential mate.
The clever play is to get on the Maupay train early.

This is the best of all the woeful mind numbing puns.Just one goal Beto

Don’t think he saying we’re defo signing him, just saying he’s a good fit for us.Didn't he say two days ago there was no chance of this happening?
Also is this the same guy who said we'd signed joao Pedro?
Going to go out on a limb and say this guy knows sweet fa

I posted this earlier in the window from my saveI’m very excited about this signing… and I promise it’s nothing to do with the fact that he absolutely smashed it on Football Manager as DCL’s replacement.
Ok ok, it’s not ENTIRELY to do with that
No pun here, I’m suggesting all of Goodison serenading him fully opera style when we’re desperate for a goalThis is the best of all the woeful mind numbing puns.
Wow, that's prolific. Be mad not to sign him now.I posted this earlier in the window from my save

It seems we have no issue attracting players to come here, our structured deals are just awful so I just don't see this one happening.
Looks like he will be, player’s keen and it’s a minor quibble over the structure. Udi look like getting a Brazilian kid from Juve on loan to cover which will make it easier to release himHe signing then what's the latest? Seen udinese are getting someone in on loan as a replacement?
I take your point about how we 'should' be operating, but as we all know to our cost that opportunity has been wasted over recent years with a revolving door of managers and DoFs.But your point about not signing maybes... this is a £30m striker that hasn't been deemed good enough for his national side. He clearly wasn't our first choice either.
I am definitely not opposed to us signing him, quite the contrary in fact, but if we had a proper scouting network like other teams then we wouldn't be taking £30m gambles, like this is.
I can't imagine a good scouting network costing tens of millions to set up, so I've no idea why we can't produce the type of results from our signings that the likes of Brighton or Palace do.
That all said, if there is £30m available, and all we bring in now is Beto, we've been left dismally short on the wing, at centre half and in creativity in midfield. I think the money could and should have been spent wiser, but we all know that Everton operate at an amateur level in terms of scouting and sealing deals.
Seems it's Beto or "we couldn't get any deals over the line", so that'll have to do, and it will probably keep us up.
