He seems like a good egg but I worry that with his physicality he'll give away too many fowls, which is bad for a footballer and worse for a KFC worker.

No strikers we can attract would do a decent job with this formation and team. All our strikers for the past few season look they have no idea how to finish. There’s a reason oir midfielders and defenders seem to outscore our strikers.

Sorry. I've lacked confidence since I got off the beak.

But I worry about Beto because of all the times our investment in players has yielded poultry returns.

Well that's true but not every striker have the physical and technical ability to play the role.

In Betos case he appears to have all the athleticism you could ever want to play the position. As for technical ability......

….he’s certainly a handful. He’s not good with his back to goal or keeping possession when he’s running wide areas but he carries threat if he can run behind opposition CBs. His finishing will always be erratic but if we can get him beyond CBs running into the penalty area he’ll be difficult to stop.

Has a point I suppose, despite not scoring Beto does at least allow us to continue to play a working style that is providing results.

I like the lad, hard working and pulls the defenders around, not the most gifted technically but can do a job.

Having him up top still allowed us to work off the system we use away from home.

Last season we'd have had Maupay up top and on Saturday and that ball would have just kept coming straight back where's having his strength and presence up front elevated the pressure.
