Couldn’t do a DCL & immediately switch it on from the bench but was far from poor.

Lad has basically stepped off the plane straight into the side & immediately shown he can be effective.

Coming on as sub here & not being up to the speed of the game when he probably needs a rest is a strange measure to judge him on long term.

That was scandalous alright, clearly onside in the replay and would've had an easy goal to kill the game. Decision that tight everyone knows the rule is to let it continue. I won't go into mad conspiracy mindset and say they specifically didn't want us to win it but I have no doubt in my mind that after Villa scored the officials were thinking "let's make it interesting". English referees are a joke and it's plain as day to see.

DCL needed years of work to become an effective striker in the leauge. I remember when peoples said DCL would never, ever be able to score in the league. Beto needs time to geat his bearings.

Having Calvert Lewin back takes a bit of pressure off Beto but also creates competition aswell as the option of playing both together. This is a fantastic scenario after been on ration for the last 2 years.

Also, Beto has so many of those moments where you just sigh and go “there is no way in hell that ball will stick” and somehow it does. Defenders really struggle to deal with his physicality. I don’t care if he looks like he just got off of his shift at KFC. He is effective. We have scored all of our goals since he entered the team.
