As soon as we went 3-0 up, I'd have taken DCL off and given Beto the rest of the game. Needs a goal and half an hour against a below average Bournemouth side would have been a good opportunity for him

Needs to play, should have come on after the 3rd goal and Danjuma really. What usually happens is player gets fed up, angles for move and the relationship breaks down so they can't possibly play again...then DCL gets injured.

I really want Beto to do well and I’m not gonna sit in here and bash the guy like some like to do to some of our players but to be fair to DCL he was young when he came in and had time to develop those traits. We’ve paid big money for Beto to be ready now

Premier league doesn't work like that. Most need the time to adapt and that means also learning the traits of the PL. Time is needed for foreign players also and some adapt and others don't. I think I have seen enough of him to give me hope that he will be OK and the bonus is we are giving DCL the time to get up to full speed and also enable us to give DCL respite rather than strain him with over playing

Beto said the other week that he would always give his all for us and that's all we can ask of him.

He worked his socks off today when he did eventually come on, but ultimately how much impact did you all expect him to have in a few minutes when the game was already won?

Let's not further dent his confidence by abusing the lad.
