Terrible performance but I think he’ll come good. The supply was absolutely abysmal today for him which made his runs look stupid but if it’d been Garner on the ball more than Doucoure I think he’d have been played in a couple of times.

….it was as poor a striker performance as I’ve seen for a long time. Not once did he get in front of his marker when a cross came in and he did little to relieve the pressure when the ball was played up to him. Totally frustrating. He will never be a poacher, he’s hit or miss and sadly he’s much more miss than hit. The fact that he’s a willing competitor is all he has going for him.

I recall @Zatara (I think) saying what great business it was buying him and Chermitti because they cost nothing for 12 months. Truth is, they cost £40m at some stage and both of them look totally inadequate.
I agree, it wasn't the best striker performance but he hasn't had that many minutes also. The last three seasons (Liga Nos and Serie A twice) he has been able to score 10 or more goals excluding cup matches. You don't reach those numbers in three consecutive seasons without some ability.

At this stage I'm not willing to write him off.

…I really don’t get these ‘not many minutes’ shouts. What you see is what he is. To think he’s all of a sudden going to become effective is not going to happen.

i’ll predict Okoronkwo will leapfrog Beto and Chermiti of them by the end of next season.
