2024/25 Beto

OMG. The first goal he should have hit Ndiaye instead. What the hell was he thinking. And the second goal, he should have juggled it to his head so he can knock it all the way back to Pickford. His goals and goalscoring mentality are terrible and will cost us games. Without Dom I have no idea how we will survive. This is dire.

There is a player there without a doubt, he’s quick, strong and can finish. Add in some confidence and rhythm and boom.

Players are never as bad as some think and often just need someone to believe in them.

The hate this lad get has always been pathetic. Al week reading everywhere he’s a league 2 striker.

It’s been evident as long as he’s been here he cannot play as a target man, he needs the ball behind the defence to play to his strengths.

Moyes has seen what’s needed in 4 weeks what that dinosaur couldn’t in 2 years.

This lad never goes on them 20 game scoreless runs like DCL if given the opportunity.

Quality finishes, don't think dcl scores either of them...

Mad how looking for balls in behind to a striker that plays off the shoulder results in goals...
Dcl is not a finisher. His touch is better and can hold the ball up better but beto is miles ahead as a finisher
I agree completely.

Beto's all-around game isn't super great (struggles to hold up the ball, win headers, etc.) for what you'd normally want from a 9, and that's what's got Dom in ahead of him, because those are more of Dom's strengths (at least nominally). So when you're playing Dyche-style, Beto is a woeful misfit for that.

But the one clear advantage he has over Dom is the ability to finish with his feet, especially on the run. And he does make good runs in behind the defense. So when you play a style that allows for your center forward to play like that, Beto can work.
