I think whats helped him today is he now knows he will get a run in the team, and wont have to impress in 15 minute cameos.

Must be horrible knowing no matter what you do your getting dropped for someone who doesnt score goals very often and misses many chances.

Made up for him. Rose to the occasion and took his chances. MOTM for me. He faded towards the end. Hopefully playing more minutes will allow him to maintain that intensity throughout a match.

It will be interesting to see how he gets on in the coming games. First start for Everton under a decent manager couldn’t have gone much better.

That's fair. But people were getting carried away when Dom scored against a peg legged Spurs side that has been poo this season. It's a promising sign at least.

We still have to put bad teams to the sword and Dyche couldn't manage it.

Beto will never ever hold the ball up for you. It's been getting said on here since he arrived, you need to play to his strengths. Him and DCL are very different players. Swapping them out and playing the same tactics was never going to work. Balls through the gaps, breaking the lines is his game, and he showed what he can do with it.

Have to be conscious though, that they are one of the worst teams I have ever had the misfortune of watching. By christ they were bad. Not a single redeeming feature of their game.

They were sitters really. But he took them well.

That's is probably true. And I've wanted Beto starting for awhile. But I must admit that last DCL goal was class and Beto doesn't score it.

Maybe if we made chances for either, they'd have both scored more? Just an idea like.
