Bielsa gone at Leeds

Absolutely pathetic.

There'll be a queue for Bielsa's services round the block.

I'd have had him here in a shot. A little more cash allied to his work ethic and we'd be top 6.

Victim of his own success....got them promoted playing entertaining football then not only survived the first season up, but finished 9th....this season they didn't strengthen their squad, and then lost Bamford and Philips to injury.....
I'm sure they would have been expecting a relegation battle last season, and Bielsa would have been given the chance to fight it.....deserved more time to see if he could have steadied the ship, but that's football these days

Dave,
I'm no expert, but bielsas tactics were nieve and rubbish near the end.
They have missed Phillips big time tbf, would have that made a difference, who knows.

He's had every chance to turn things around, they were getting worse with every game and he didn't have a plan B, it was just a matter of time and probably should have gone earlier.

Just like your idol Benitez, he had one way of playing.

Despite the loss of key players, like Philips and Bamford, who were crucial to his style of football, he continued to try and play his 100 miles an hour footy, even though their replacements weren`t up to the job.

For a coach with over 30 years experience to have no plan B or ability to adapt the teams style of play, according to the players available at his disposal, is really quite telling.

Will he get another job, 100% yes.

Has he been found out to be a limited coach, 100% yes too.

Head coach Marcelo Bielsa has "parted company" with Leeds United after a run of poor form which saw his side suffer several heavy defeats.
The 66-year-old Argentine, appointed in June 2018, leaves with the Whites two points above the relegation zone.
Under Bielsa, Leeds finished ninth last season in their return to the Premier League after a 16-year absence.
But Saturday's 4-0 defeat by Tottenham meant they had lost their past four games by an aggregate score of 17-2.
"This has been the toughest decision I have had to make during my tenure at Leeds United, taking into account all the success Marcelo has had at the club," said Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani.
"With Marcelo as our head coach, we had three incredible campaigns and the good times returned to Elland Road. He changed the culture of the club and brought a winning mentality to us all.
"However, I have to act in the best interest of the club and I believe a change is required now in order to secure our Premier League status. Recent results and performances have not met our expectations.
"We find ourselves in a precarious league position and I feel now is the right time to bring in a new head coach, in order to have an impact in the decisive stage of the season."

That's a shame

i was hoping he'd drop them further down the table first

I had been looking at Leeds and Brentford and thinking they are dropping like stones and could do us a favour. I think it’s always interesting when these managers that a rigid playing style, like Bielsa, do well and then, Ultimately come unstuck. In the first season they looked great, but now clubs have worked them out and as they have this methodology of “ there is no plan B, just do plan A better” they invariably just keep doing the same thing and getting beat.

I think Big Sam will be among the names mentioned and he probably could get them out of it. It’s wether or not the Leeds board would be happy to pay him the cash, he’s not cheap.
