Bielsa gone at Leeds

Victim of his own success....got them promoted playing entertaining football then not only survived the first season up, but finished 9th....this season they didn't strengthen their squad, and then lost Bamford and Philips to injury.....
I'm sure they would have been expecting a relegation battle last season, and Bielsa would have been given the chance to fight it.....deserved more time to see if he could have steadied the ship, but that's football these days
Time will tell of course but I agree. Open to debate who is to blame for squad shortages, if it's him or their DOF, but that squad is about where it should be in the league without 2 of its best players.

Absolutely pathetic.

There'll be a queue for Bielsa's services round the block.

I'd have had him here in a shot. A little more cash allied to his work ethic and we'd be top 6.
It wouldn't work. He sits on a bucket for heavens sake.
At least our recent managers have had some dignity in defeat. Elegance even.

I find their transfer policy utterly strange.

They have spent £150 million NET....and have nothing to show for it.

They could have fetched bodies in to help in the last 2 windows for less than £10 million, but refused and used children....and then moaned.

I dont get it.

I liked Bielsa. A good coach and a hero at Leeds. I think in the end he relied too much on Phillips and Bamford, who are big big losses. They just did not have the players to replace them and losing big experienced personalities like Pablo Hernandez, Alioski and Helder Costa. He got the big signings wrong this summer too. I don't think James or Firpo have really added enough to the team.

Did they actually buy any defenders with that splurge.

It's like they have League 2 standard defenders.

Also James is awful, systematic of Man United's transfer policy, he played a blinder against Man City running fast in a straight line in the FA cup with Seansea and they decided to buy him, he is no where near PL level, not sure what Leeds saw in him, he's gash.

Yes, they spent £30 million on 2, Koch & Llorente

Spending has been strange and they have not once addresses issues.

They love to buy wingers.

to go from Bielsa to Fat Sam would have many Leeds fans choosing relegation over survival.

From our own viewpoint - the official complaint to premier league will likely see us being on the receiving end of a few decisions that will negatively impact other teams.
