Bilingual road signs in Wales

Read an article recently about someone complaining about having bilingual road signs in Wales. Does this bother anybody else ? Personally I think a simple solution would be to do away with bilingual signs and just have them in Welsh.
Thoughts anyone ?

That would lead to some very long signage.

I do wonder though - how many of the Welsh actually speak and read Welsh themselves?
I grew up in Wales after leaving Liverpool at around age 9.

I get a genuine feeling whenever I'm back for a visit more and more people (young and old) are 'siarad cymraeg' and this pleases me.

It's a tragedy when a language dies out so I hope the trend continues. (I'm also grateful I went to a predominantly Welsh school, a lot of the throaty 'ch' and 'Ll' sounds were very useful with Arabic later on.)
