How old are you?

Kenwright took over from a hamper seller from the Wirrall who didn't even like football, let alone support the club, whose tenure was characterised by trying to find deals to line his own pocket out of Everton's status. There was no investment and we were bankrupt. No-one wanted us. Kenwright brought passion, influence (to other investors - Earl and such) and what financial acumen he could, with limited financial means by the standards of today's billionaire owners.

I'm guessing you're about 24.
I believe Kenwright was there lurking in the background during the turkey hamper guys years too. I don’t doubt Kenwrights passion, but passion isn’t what is needed at this club. It needs a bloody clear out. Big Dunc included.

But he is still opening his trap and trying to influence things. Wish Farhad had got all his shares.
By opening his trap you mean lazy journos rehashing old quotes for idiots to clickbait, just look at the amount of clueless knobs who over the last 2 weeks have talked about not wanting Moyes back, even though he was never an option anyway. As for influence things, you mean like the stability under Moyes, Farhads influence has bought us disaster after disaster when it comes to managers

What is failure and success judged on in football. For me success its winning silverware and being competitive Especially for the size of a club like Everton. The odd great night or winning the odd big match is not being competitive and in sport not being competitive is a failure for a club of evertons stature.Yes kenwright steadied the ship and has great passion. But we were not competitive and won no silverware. Maybe failure sounds like a harsh word but it is in reference to the first line.

As for my age. I'm alot older. So I would think I have some experience in supporting everton. Have followed everton every 1983 and day since. I'm irish but Moved my life to liverpool in the 90s for 5 years to be able to see them every weekend home and away. Still fly in (now with my kids in tow who are now evertonians )for matches every season. I hope that we will be competitive and successful again one day.

Bill after Moyes phoned him to say he was staying with West Ham....

In the world of theatre Lloyd Webber is ugly but he is The Palladium and The Empire. Blue Bill is fat and Floral Pavilion New Brighton. Sadly his football journey has made us weep for the boys pen and think wee Davie Moyes is Matt Busby. I am just glad I remember what this club used to be about.
Completely wrong. Bill is a giant in the UK theatre and according to the CEO of One Nation(Palace and Opera House, lots of large provincial theatres) BK singlehandedly saved provincial theatre in the UK,by putting West End musicals into Manchester, Leeds, Oxford, etc. And our old friends the Greggs made their fortune out of refurbishing old theatres and putting on Bills shows. It was Bills expertise that Lloyd Webber called upon to make changes to his shows when they were failing dismally, and it was Bill who with his own money saved a theatre in Oxford and another theatre from closure. By all means criticise Bills tenure at Everton, but his theatre career is brilliantly successful. And his 'pension' is not money he made out of Everton(anyone would anticipate a profit on shares after holding them for so long), his pension is continuing royalties from Educating Rita for which he had the foresight to buy the rights when Willy Russell was an unknown, and payments from the films of Rita and Stepping Out. Floral Pavilion my arse. Get yer facts right !!

Nice to hear you again Steve, when it comes to football Kenwright is More New Brighton than Barcelona and always has been, from the boys pen to the directors box.

You may have a point Cameron...but theres no doubting his success in his actual job in the theatre/movie business. Its a pity the same 'talents' don't neccessarily transfer to the world of football. That was always Bills weakness, and I've said so many time. You can't 'sell' a football club in the same way as a touring production of 'Phantom'. Hope youre keeping well my friend.

Yes doing okay in the situation we are all in, and the light at the end of the tunnel seems to be getting a bit brighter, hopefully it will be fully illuminated in the not too distant future, best wishes Steve.

Bill at the board meetings.

You're giving Kenwright far more credit then he deserves here. Palpatine successfully conned the entire galaxy into legitimately voting him into the highest postion of power their government had and then giving him further unlimited powers of office. And he did all that while simultaneously destroying his foes without them even being aware he was doing it until the deed was already done! Bill almost certainly spends 95% of any given board meeting furiously debating what refreshments they should have for the next meeting with the other 5% being taken up with quick dashes to the toilet........
