Completely wrong. Bill is a giant in the UK theatre and according to the CEO of One Nation(Palace and Opera House, lots of large provincial theatres) BK singlehandedly saved provincial theatre in the UK,by putting West End musicals into Manchester, Leeds, Oxford, etc. And our old friends the Greggs made their fortune out of refurbishing old theatres and putting on Bills shows. It was Bills expertise that Lloyd Webber called upon to make changes to his shows when they were failing dismally, and it was Bill who with his own money saved a theatre in Oxford and another theatre from closure. By all means criticise Bills tenure at Everton, but his theatre career is brilliantly successful. And his 'pension' is not money he made out of Everton(anyone would anticipate a profit on shares after holding them for so long), his pension is continuing royalties from Educating Rita for which he had the foresight to buy the rights when Willy Russell was an unknown, and payments from the films of Rita and Stepping Out. Floral Pavilion my arse. Get yer facts right !!
