2019/20 Bill Kenwright

He took over a stable club 4 years ago, and with the help of the TV money has turned it into a full on mess with relegation worries we haven't seen since the 90s.
Kenwright took over Johnsons mess.
Moshiri bought the club four years ago and his biggest mistake was to continue to listen to Kenwright and let him carry on as chairman, I bet he wishes he could turn the clock back, his money wouldn’t have been squandered, notice Kenwright never, ever squandered any of his own money on Everton. Even with that folly, Moshiri still has a lot of years to catch up to Kenwright’s cock ups and lies.

The ex player thing does my head in. There’s no one who idolised big dunc more than me but him and unsworth show zero ambition to do anything else. They are both sitting on cushie numbers in the city they want to live. Unsworth more so, he knows that as long as kenwrights there he’s protected. Same with Ferguson. I get the under 23s do well but we are looking at transforming a culture/vision, implementing a style of football here which he is part of. He was happy to talk himself up for the managers job in that short tenure but he isn’t prepared to go and test himself in the championship or lower leagues, of which no doubt he has turned down. It just stinks of going through the motions and completely in his comfort zone. For a club to progress that’s really what we need from the top down

Respect to your comments, but the 'former player thing' is not unique to Everton. Just off the top of my head...Brian Kidd is at City, there are various former players at Arsenal and Chelsea, and I think if you run down the whole of the football leagues, you'll find a fair smattering of former players working in some capacity for their former club.Carrick at Man utd, along with Nicky Butt and a few others. Even on here there are continuing cries for Arteta, Cahill, even Southall, who has already been a dramatic failure as a coach, to be employed by Everton. Its something that always happens at every club, its just that at Everton, its just another stick to beat the club with by the usual suspects.

I don't think you can blame BK for squandering Moshs money,Cameron, Mosh is a money man and all his spending will have been calculated. You might as well blame Walsh and Brands, blaming them has more credibility than blaming BK. And you already know that during his ownership, BKs biggest problem was that he didn't have the kind of money needed. You can't have it both ways, neither can anyone whose mission is to blame BK for everything. He can and does take responsibility for most things that happened during his tenure. Theres always more than one side to a story, at least, and you are experienced enough to know this.

His remaining on the board was no doubt one of the key terms of any takeover. That's the only explanation I can think of. I assume Mr Moshiri thought Bill would want to step aside for the good of the club, but it's clear he is still intent on sticking around and keeping his hands on the club, much to our detriment. Can't think of any other reason why he'd still be sticking around like a bad smell. Sooner he's gone, the better, but I think only bad health or, ultimately, his death, will see him part ways with us.

Him remaining chairman was one of his conditions imo I totally agree. I also think this is why his 24/7 search for “ investment” took over a decade , this was at a time when literally every single other prem club was bought.

Difference being that ex players of Chelsea, Arsenal and United that are back at the club were WINNERS, the ones at Everton haven't won so much as a raffle.

Steve, first of all I hope you are keeping okay, that’s the main thing. As for Kenwright, I’m blaming mostly for hanging on to the club he sold, to the detriment of Everton. Why is he still here? Why can’t he let go, it’s not like he is football savvy, he’s full of his own importance, but is of no value to the club, wouldn’t be missed in any football capacity if he left the club right now. Steve again I think you have more important things to do than argue the merits of Kenwright. You. like me will enjoy life more when Everton start getting things right on the field and in the boardroom, you are fine with the chairman, I wish he was out, in any capacity at the club. except as an Evertonian. Best wishesSteve.
