They didn't. The were quite rightly concerned about what was happening with the club . His much publicised "24/7 search for investment" was not bearing much fruit.

From memory, his response to the question was the shout to his PA "Get Keith (Harris) on the phone"

Hardly reassuring, particularly as he said on completing his purchase he told gathered journalists had a plan. If his plan was to hope renowned chancer Keith Harris would come up trumps he was a fool.

David Dein introduced Moshiri 16 years into Bills 24/7 search.

The key word here is investor. There were offers to buy the club, some good, some less so. None of whom were probably too keen on the prospect of keeping Mr. Everton around so were not seriously entertained.

With each passing year Kenwright sold more and more club assets in his desperate attempt to cling on.

Absolutely nothing to do with Kenwright.

Does he? Actual [Poor language removed]?

Indeed, useless. You have given EITC an idea as a fundraiser though. Put BK in the stocks infront of the St End and charge a pound a penalty kick. They'd make a fortune from me alone.

He bought his original shareholding when he became owner for 9 million pounds. He's done rather well out of being the least successful chairman in our history.

Don't forget to wipe your mouth and gargle once you're done blowing him off.
So the appointment of a top class manager who’s now won the league in 5 countries and 4 European Cups is nothing to do with him, but everything that goes wrong is his fault.

You're a strange one. I'll put it another way.

If Moshiri wasn't at the club, and Mr Everton was still the main man in every sense, would he have attracted Ancelotti to Everton?

I think being in the Premier League every season has been an overachievement considering we were skint for many of those years. The other 5 clubs who have done that have played in a Champions League final and we haven’t even reached the group stage in that time. His managerial appointments did well.
But why were we skint? That falls squarely on him surely?

So the appointment of Koeman Silva Allardyce and Benitez falls on him then?

Good Morning Bill

This is the level of ambition we want to see

It's been a massive achievement, without him there is no chance we stayed an ever present in the Premier League, Moshiri almost taking us out of it within 6 years shows how stable Bill had us.
Its not success, but it is an achievement

Ok so Moshiri deserves the credit for Ancelotti, ok so he’s recruited the top class manager, put loads of money up for players, delivered on the stadium.. but we’re crap on the pitch = blame Bill ?‍♂️

They didn't "demand investment", as if it were something that was being withheld. They wanted him to hand the search for investment over to people who would be most qualified to find it, vet the interested parties and hopefully secure it without handing over the family silver.

If "the world's greatest Evertonian" had done that way back when maybe we wouldn't ended up with looney Farhad but someone better. We'll never know.
They demanded money that wasn't there to be spent. Thankfully we didn't do that as we would be doomed by now.

You still don't get it.

I'm not blaming the Chairman for our exact state today.

I'm merely filled with regret at where the club should be. At how his selfishness and lies led to us missing out on a waterfront stadium in the CITY CENTRE twenty years ago.

He then coumpunds that by getting in bed with people like Leahy who basically strongarm him into moving the club out of the city so they can make a few quid as we slowly morph into Bolton. Kenwright was as vocal for this project as Farage was for a Brexit. Utterly shameless.

Moshiri has made a LOT of mistakes. His biggest was allowing this absolute charlatan the stick around.

But hey, good times. You're his dream fan.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Didn’t the fans vote in favour of Kirkby!? Did Bill force everyone to tick the ‘yes’ box?

We didn’t have the money for the Kings’ Dock ultimately. Maybe we should have demanded he find it down the back of his sofa.

Do you not think at that point, after two failed stadium projects, that that should have been the wake up call to get serious investment? Instead he left it too long, found the accountant for an oligarch and suckered him into staying on as chairman
