Who got Moshiri involved with Everton though? No matter how many different ways you try and dice it, all roads in the sad story that is Evertons decline as a force in the english game, all lead back to Bill Kenwright.
I don’t think any Everton fan knows REALLY what is going on behind the scenes, how could we? But for certain something is majorly wrong, I am so proud of this new stadium and thank God it’s starting to really take shape, so that is a really positive step on the long upward journey back to the top table of football where we belong But I think it’s definitely time bill kenwright vacates his post , as the foundations of our club are in decline, we need a whole new image similar to the one we once had of dignity and class , I hope it is not too late

And yet they still rank higher than anything Moshiri has done
I think Bill Kenwright was the one man who had the means to alter history and drive Everton through the Premier League era. He has been a director since 1989. I would compare him to David Dein and he pales in comparison. Two similar sized clubs in the late 1980', one has been left trailing.

Moshiri's fault is that he doesn't seem to know anything about football. But the damage was done in 1990-93.

Hang on, so your saying the damage was done around the time of Peter Johnson and David Marsh, but you blame Bill? How does that work, especially when Bill moved us forward after those two only for Moshiri to take us back at a disasterous rate?

Thing is nobody moaned when Moshiri came, on paper it looked great, bit lame to now blame him on Bill, why not blame Moshiri on Moshiri?
Bill told us at the time that he had got to know Moshiri over 18 months and that his (Moshiri’s) “football knowledge” meant he was perfect for Everton. Nobody moaned because this is what we were told. I think one thing we can all agree on is that Moshiri knows next to nothing about football and that’s being generous. Over 18 whole months, Bill was convinced that this guy was the man for Everton when he has turned out to be an absolute disaster. That’s why Bill deserves the blame. He brought him to our door. Likely because he was the only dope stupid enough to keep Bill in situ and hand him £30m.

Thing is obviously we all wish Bill hadnt of sold, and he had kept the shares, we needed him too stay majority share holder, but unfortunately many couldn't see the grass wasnt greener with Bill selling up.

We’ve been to one Cup Final in his entire tenure. We once went about 3 years without paying money for a player because of his inability to source investment in the club. I was delighted he sold up but this was quickly dampened when I realised he was bizarrely staying on as Chairman and that the new man had little idea and no strategy or plan other than listening to Bill and random agents. What we now know is that Bill’s famous “24/7 search” for investment was actually a “24/7 search for an investor who would let him stay on as Chairman”. The press reported on this at the time as one of the things that swung the Moshiri deal. At least when the current idiot owner sells up, he’s unlikely to have his staying on in some capacity as a condition for sale so it should open up the field to a lot more interested parties. Good Times!!

Yeah but he had to stay on, as you say the new man had little idea and no strategy or plan, so he had to stay, really what he needed to do was not sell to him in the first place but too many people wanted him to sell, better the devil you know, really he should of stayed exactly where he was, for Everton in the long run it would of been better.
The only good that can come out from this right now with Moshiri is i think if he sold the club now with the Bramley Project he can do well, the club is worth a lot more then it was a few years ago, provided we dont go down.
Get Moshiri out, get a good owner, and then a new chairmen, but for now all focus from the fans should be on Moshiri, not Bill, if we remove Bill and allow Moshiri to bring in one of his men like Joorabchian we are 100% dead

Personally I wish he had never bought, never mind sold.
Yeah but that bring up another issue, when he bought from PJ not one single other person was interested, nobody, Everton were worthless to outsiders, if Bill hadnt of bought us from PJ when he did right now we are a Notts Forest or a Sheffield Wednesday

People do forget when the PL started we sat around and did nothing, It actually annoys me Sir Philip Carter was one of the people who set it up, but thats another story.

I don't believe that I added anywhere that I blamed Bill, I just compared him with David Dein and stated that he has been the one constant between 1989 and 2022. I don't judge anyone until I have walked in their shoes. However, I would like more of a contribution than well he isn't Peter Johnson.

He wasn't majority shareholder then
