My view is that writing an open letter to challenge Bill Kenwright and the Board on their performance (something we can all agree needs to be done, if not the timing of such actions) does not make training sessions any less effective, tactics meetings any less instructive and it does not make the left back any less adventurous on the pitch or unable to tackle. It shouldn’t give our attacking options pause for thought when attempting to score a goal.
The support for the team should be at the arrival of the coach and in the 90 minutes, that’s where the focus of our survival should be.
Anything outside of that should not concern the manager, coaching staff and players and certainly should not impede their performance. Survival is paramount short term, I agree….I just don’t think it affects the direct support for the team and therefore should not affect the performance of the manager, coaches and the players.
