Its Interesting to see the supposedly socialist champion of GOT licking the boots of multi-billionaires and multi-millionaires as they continue on with their seemingly endless crusade to destory an institution that means so much to literally millions of working class people, not to metion risking the livelihoods of hundreds more. Odd that isn't it! Clearly standards are extremely flexible and can change like the wind with this poster when it suits him. The word hypocrite comes to mind......

Don't mention the wind ffs...

Of course not. It’s the culture there, the hive mind mentality. It’s just amazing more could not see it. It was obvious.

I keep it saying tho, it’s not just him, it’s the people who have placated him and there have been many from ex players, media , club plants trolling fans to shame any discontent . No coincidence two clubs in one city and one does far better than the other regularly. Culture. People. Decisions. Silence. Placate. No integrity. That’s what’s happened here.

Couldn’t people see how weak his media counter offensives with things like “be careful what you wish for “ like don’t talk about better, settle for second rate or things will get worse. It’s ridiculous. A farce.

He is a abhorrent narcissistic individual but far from the only one to blame because he wouldn’t still be doing these antics without people’s support.

The club sealed its long term fate when he was applauded at the match against Aston Villa in 2012. One of the worst days in the clubs history.

The only positive I can take from all this is he’s showing more people what he really is.
Why was he applauded?

Apologies. There was protests back in 2012, the protest took place on the day we played Aston Villa. The chairman appeared on the screen minutes into the game and was applauded by fans. Here is the video.

Two things strike me seeing that again.

Despite what Baz Horne is saying, there were a hell of a lot more people NOT clapping than clapping.

Also I'd never noticed before that Jenny whispered into his ear that he was on the big screen and was the cheerleader for the clapping herself. You really can't trust her not to get up to mischief just like she still does on here.

I was there that day mate. There was a number of plaudits around me and I looked around and saw quite a few in each part of the stadium. It wasn’t rapturous but still a fair number

My heart sank and it made me question what I thought Everton was. The whole saga with his infamous interview with the Blue Union, the PR offensive the club pulled which I thought had gaping flaws but clearly worked. I gave up, never went to Goodison again, only away games.

It's covered on this podcast. The "PR offensive" against Blue Union

This year, 14 January 2023 and headlock gate was meant to be a similar PR offensive. Against NSNOW and what was to become #AllTogetherNow. Their plan. Everyone was supposed to give sympathy due to the faux claims and it was to undermine NSNOW and/or the precursor stage of #AllTogetherNow to the global media.

It failed spectacularly.

PS. I never clapped Bill Kenwright. I've never particularly liked the man. Now I utterly detest him. Don't like Denise Barrett Baxendale either. Her behaviour. Misusing and abusing media for personal PR. The "business awards". Joke of a "CEO".

Watching that again makes me sick to my stomach. All those who clapped him while he sat their with a smug fat face lapping it up should be deeply ashamed .Make no mistake you are as much to blame for the current plight as the clowns running the club all this could have been avoided.
From that footage the talk of silent majority is nonsense it was quite a small minority clapping but for those that did you disgust me as your stupidity will ultimately kill this club

Hopefully a different era now, the power of social media and podcasting has left bills tactics looking dated and frankly embarrassing. Coupled with the reality we are in far worse trouble than 2012 after a decade of Moyes steady hand at the wheel.
