What this all about?

When we first got Moshiri one of the board members was a Russian guy who was very highly regarded in international business.

He basically said after he resigned he wanted to make Everton a global business and he was frustrated that Bill said "nah we're a local club" or something like that in an interview after he left.

I think he doesn't want anyone to outshine him (even though he has nothing to show for it).

With the greatest respect, it's not as simple as 'I would simply become a global brand'. We've not won a single thing in nearly 30 years.

Didn’t that Russian guy resign because he assaulted someone or something, or have I got the wrong one?

Good marketing would. Look at wrexham.
Wrexham’s story is more than savvy marketing by the owners , there are lessons for us. While they were competent businessmen they acknowledged they knew nothing about running a football club. The first thing they did was bring on board two people who did, one with substantial football experience. The “ advisers “ ensured two key things happened , firstly the appointment of an experienced manager who could take them forward. They then conducted an exhaustive search and appointed a very capable CEO , she doesn’t seek publicity but her impact far out ways what Baxendale has achieved. Definitely something Moshiri could still learn from.

Not the same is it mate.

It absolutely is the same.

Look at what Drive to Survive on Netflix has done for Formula 1 (already a huge international sport) - the global fanbase has exploded and the sport has never had a higher profile.

Everton's marketing is basically a press officer and a social media admin. Just how Bill likes it. He should be chairman of Chester FC, not Everton.

I'm struggling to watch it, I was there at that Villa game.

There's a bald bloke emblazoned into my mind from the time at the bottom of the Bullens who just effing sprung up and clapped his little heart out with the folk around him not moving a muscle,

Broke my heart and I knew then we were truly screwed.

That one bloke summed it up for me.
I'm actually not a violent person, but i would've been seriously tempted to give him a dig. He would've have deserved it too the muppet.

You say that but the accounts state that there are 78 marketing and media employees. But clearly they're all incompetent.
