Mentioned previously Dad when alive went the match from a 10 year old till in his 50’s. .Then became a steward for a good number of years .. chance meeting with Kenwright. Pleasantries over Dad mentioned something negative, week later he got a letter his services no longer required. Never went the game again. I have hated him for years n years. Dad said he was one phoney f ukka. Looks like your ivory tower could just start to be crumbling a tad. Your absolute disgrace of a human being.
Hope so mate

If we look at the league record under Kenwright as principle shareholder, he certainly did better than the 10 or so years before him. The rot set in when Moshiri started running the club.

The biggest issue has been long term lack of development. There’s been no improvement of the stadium for half a century as we’ve been floundering around trying to build a new one.

I would give David Moyes 99% of the credit for that lad, the perfect manager for a penniless Everton, remember we had to sell our best players every year to buy new ones, we also went two years, four transfer windows were we never bought a first team player.

We sold the training ground off, the Park End carpark, remember the embarrassment of us trying to build "Everton place" on it ? Then being told we couldn't because Kenwright had sold the land off. Remember owing the next two seasons season ticket money ? Being in debt to dubious foreign off shore companies, also a £30m loan to Bear Stearns ?

Two failed ground moves, the King Dock, Samuelson laughed out of an EGM over his fictional investment, the money's ringfenced, the ground won't pass it's safety certificate, ( we are still playing in it now) . The Arteta money, Rooney sold for initial £10m fee the rest on add ons, Bills mum crying down the phone, Alex Ferguson laughing about it, wouldn't have sold him for £50m ? His sale actually saved us from administration. Yeah mate we were much better off then. # Good times. And guess whose still the Chairman with a handpicked board and banned EGM' s yes Bill Kenwright, the one constant of nearly three decades of no trophies. Get back in you're box ! And I know I've missed loads, what an owner, what a Chairman, so keep on thinking...what would Evertons board do ? The answer is to go into hiding, go underground when the going gets tough... And blame the fans, try and throw them under a bus.

Was saying this the other day. We had no right to stay in these league throughout the Kenwright years. Moyes basically performed miracles.

But things weren’t that bad under Chairman Bill were they? At least according to some… I’ve hated the man for 20 years and it’s just baffling it’s come to this for the fan base to wake up.

Yep. Was in the ground the other night and still people say “it’s not him, it’s the players”. Who signed them? Who signed off on everything? Honestly, the clubs a disgrace from top to bottom, and I’ll lump some of the fans in with that as well. Just happy to sit and clap coz he’s a blue.
even that letter people moanin over it saying he’s not welcome back i can’t get me head around it some divvy fans us

That's because some people are easily fooled by confidence tricksters; also, they've probably never bothered to critically review the Kenwright regime, either that or they prefer to be regaled with Willaim's schmooze and self glorification.

In order to understand just how potentially terminal Kenwright has been to Everton, you have to understand the history of Everton and how we were successful, when that success stopped, and understand our rivals historic performance and how they have developed - i think the issue is at times people are not prepared to read up on it.

For me, there is a lot one could talk about but it’s quite simple, 15 trophies historically vs 0 since he took over. 32 times runner up historically vs 1 since he took over. Success and hope of success is what keeps fans going….those numbers suggests any fan hopes are false.

No wonder the comedy term used for us by rival fans is Neverton
