I cannot believe Everton would announce the departure of the chairman without having a replacement ready in the wings. If they have really been negotiating with someone to take over as chairman, I am amazed that there have been no leaks as to who it is. In other words we might be in for an unpleasant surprise.
Thanks for the reply, I don't know much of what goes on with things like that, I just now if I resigned from my job I would get nothing.
Companies tend to allow senior people to resign instead of saying they’ve been fired, but yes they will get a pay off……
Resigning Its optics really mate - they are being made redundant - being asked to leave - so they will get a severance/redundancy.
They haven't all just reigned at the same time. They will all have looked out for their own interests.
Be interesting to see what happens - wonder will Bill come out with a statement - wouldn't be Bill if he didn't - unless there is something like a NDA in place as any golden handshake.
He was never with it in the first placeMore concerned with how much all the pay offs for the 4 are and that, that doesn't eat away at our transfer funds.
Personally, i always felt collusion and being the lightening rod - was Kenwrights position since he gave up ownership, part of that may have been ego driven - but the bulk of the blame rests always with the money for me because make no mistake they are at the heart of and sign off, of all decisions - the chaos and position in on Moshiri for me, so ill be happier when hes edged out in the next 24 months, once our finances are better secured. I see a vacuum until then, with a small hope of incremental progress. Until then i dont really see this as the smoking gun most do.
On Bill, footballs moved on and i dont think hes moved on with it or maybe the energy isnt there anymore - its time.
Absolutely spot on.I think the nature of the deal, has changed somewhat since our survival mate, what we are seeing this week with the changes in the first shadow cast of their influence, i think we will see more in the coming weeks.
All that is well and good, but id be happy if we were on point and minimised the impact of this transition - we've a job of work to do this summer on the footballing side. Clarity has to be the priority to allow Dyche and Thelwell to work - that's my chief priority and concern.
Looking back wont do the job, we need to move on and forward fast.
Been asking myself the same question .The club website says they left their roles ,doesn't say resigned or sacked . I have no doubt they will all get generous compensation if only to keep their gobs shut.
It’s being talked about that George Downing will probably assume the role of Chairman with Andy Bell either taking the CEO role or, more likely, a non-executive position on the board… leaving space for a new appointee as CEO.I cannot believe Everton would announce the departure of the chairman without having a replacement ready in the wings.
