We all want better and to start on the road to getting better, MSP/Andy Bell/George Downing/we all need remove the road block that Moshiri appears either incapable of or unwilling to act strongly upon at present.
It does make me question the sanity of Andy Bell already chucking his 40m into the pot for Moshiris stadium fund without the massive turd being flushed first.

Surely that should be the kicker to trigger the fund transfer?
Is there a reason the multimillionaires you name above cant scrape the 6m together and get rid of him?
He's not obliged to sell them, he can take his shares to his grave if he wants to.

He may have an agreement with Moshiri to buy them, nobody knows for sure.

I think it's a decent, if not an achievable plan. 200 quid in this day and age is a lot of money to the working man,any man for that matter. Then to see it going to BK would boil my piss.
A solution will come in the next few days, don't ask me how, but the chairman's roll is untenable, the world knows this.
It is worrying that we need to improve the squad and all this bull is hindering progress, but I do think it will be quicker than the fan base trying to raise 6 million.

I know that as a layman my opinion may be a little naive, but, if Kenwright is insisting in the agreement, if it exists, to buy his shares as a requirement to walk away, is it beyond the abilities of Moshiri to structure some deal whereby MSP purchase Kenwright's shares as part of their initial 25%? I'm sure that I have missed something here and I'm equally sure it will be pointed out to me, but, if Moshiri is unable or unwilling to purchase the shares himself, surely some kind of a deal like this could be sorted.

One thing is for sure, don't assume Kenwright is actually going until you see official confirmation from the club that he has gone. He's as slippery as an eel and the biggest liar since Tom Pepper.

Kenwright has already made enormous amounts of money from Everton, more than he or his family will ever be able to spend in their lifetime so the damage has already been done in that regard. The negative press that something like this would bring on him either way would be worth the money, the fella loves the limelight but only on his terms this would be a hammer blow to his ego and might wake some other sheep in the media up at the same time

I confess I haven't listened to the podcast, is anyone able to summarise why this is being floated as an idea?

His shares make up 1.3% of the club - and he doesn't own them to make money. He owns them because he enjoys the status of being an Everton shareholder. The same reason he wants to be Chairman.

Why would he countenance selling them to fans who (rightly) want him out?

He wouldn't.

But the gist of the idea floated in the pod (as I understood it) was to get support of the idea and present it to him as a way to offload his shares. If he refused it wouldn't look good on Kenwright, he'd be digging in for the long battle.

I really like it as an idea, but Kenwright has hide thicker than a Rhino so I'm not sure how fussed he'd be. So long as he has a few friends in the media and around the club telling him he's a credit to Everton etc he'll be happy.

Thanks for summing that up.

To me, it makes very little sense.

I have no objection to him continuing his shareholding. It's not his 1.3% ownership that's the problem.

It's his Chairmanship and the damage he's done from within.

He can keep his powerless shares as far as I'm concerned, or they can be swallowed up in a compulsory purchase in future.

I understand wanting to buy him out from a cathartic perspective, but it seems like belligerence he'll frame as persecution and therefore will not countenance it.
