His shares make up 1.3% of the club - and he doesn't own them to make money. He owns them because he enjoys the status of being an Everton shareholder. The same reason he wants to be Chairman.

Why would he countenance selling them to fans who (rightly) want him out?

I think your wrong mate maybe it wasn't always the case but for him now it's all about the money.
He has already pocketed 30 million plus from the club and now seems he'll bent on squeezing ever last penny.
If he really does love the club why doesn't he sell his remaining shares to season ticket holders maximum of 10 each at £896 a share which is what he paid.
This would give him another 1.5million which he could then donate the money to EITC.
If he truly loves the club he could walk away with a little bit of dignity and maybe not completely be despised by the fan base.

Okay, you're entitled to disagree.

But his drag on Everton isn't financial. The drag comes from his influence. The culture of underachievement and latterly chaos that he's presided over.
 

It seemed strange that the announcement related to Bill was delayed when the others were announced last Monday. Well of course apart from him perhaps wanting to make a production out of leaving. Stranger that there has been a complete blackout on comms relating to Bill since.

There is some news about relating to a PL club executive being interviewed by police over allegations relating to a historic matter. The police interview was conducted last Monday. To be clear I'm not making an accusation and know nothing about it, just highlighting the day of the police interview.

Was it? Most reports I saw said executive which suggests higher than the manager. Some said 'boss' which admittedly could be anyone from the manager up.

Based on the fact she was a teenager at the time and is now a mature woman, there ain't many managers that fit that profile 1 or 2 at a push. Assume based on the force interviewing it is likely to be someone that is currently based in London possibly someone that was also based there however many years ago 20, 30, 40?
