I know we love our club and his actions towards it were extremely frustrating. But people celebrating his death like he's some evil war lord or child killer is distasteful imo.

Agree. For all his faults of which there were many, as a Chairman, it's sad news for all blues. He was at the end of the day one of us, sadly, one that was often out of his depth. The illness probably explains why it wasn't necessary or humane to relieve him of his duties.
Credit to him, 78 is an age and one that is theatrically fitting for Bill, and Everton.
