Rest in peace. Deepest condolences to Bill's family and friends. The illness he had must have been excruciating, and I hope his family can take comfort in knowing his suffering is finished. I was far from a fan but he was an evertonian and the world needs more of us not less.
No doubt some of us will need to take a deep breath and suffer the media's outpouring of grief and airbrushing the last couple of years out of his obituary. God knows what will happen to Everton in the years to come but this is most certainly the end of an era. Sad that it has to have come about in such circumstances.
