Bill Kenwright

I'm sure that Kenwright wasn't on board with us bringing in Benitez. He wasn't stupid. He'd have known how unpopular an appointment that he. He still went along with it though and stood on in silence knowing the damage it would do long-term. Still, if you want to talk about managers that Kenwright was all for then I'd be willing to bet good money that he all in on Lampard and backed him right till the bitter and end even then some after the fact.
He was all about getting him up to the director box after the Palace game('need I say more') to get in on that front of stage bow
Had to get in on it didn't he!?

All knowing that he could've stood down in protest and would've probably stopped the deal on the spot by doing so.

Moshiri would have been all puppy dog eyed over Frank as well. Like a star struck fan.

Bill did his best for this club and yes he had his problems but his heart was in the right place. The crap he got off some fans was absolutely shameful.

if it wasnt for Bill this club would have sunk down the leagues into oblivion.

The problem is we have these football manager, Skysports fans who think we are entitled to be something we are not or have not been since the 80s.

Bill was boss in Corrie and he was boss at Everton.

As for the Iranian DelBoy the less said about that fraud the better.
Bill liked telling that tale alright
He'd be delighted his story hit home with a few

OK. This is just a quick scroll through the first few pages. Not very pretty, like I said.

After 24 hours he was back to being Bill Jong-Un, most evil man in the world, destroyer of all things Everton and an absolute [Poor language removed].
Not one single post wishing death on him in there as you claimed. A single off-colour comment that was called out right away (interesting that you chose to ignore that while quoting).

Bill will go down as a Legend of this club for what he did. He brought in David Moyes who has been our best manager of this century who got us to the CL and if it had not have been for UEFA corruption we'd have got into the group stages and with the team we had would have given anyone in that competition a run for their money.

Those quotes seem mild to me tbh
Why do you think he deserved more than some people temporarily biting their tongues?

Headlock gate wasn't that long ago either, and that was a disgusting thing to do to fans that had enriched him while he chipped away at their expectations for many years.

He spun a good yarn, lets have it right, and one of his yarns backfired in headlockgate

Not sure what kind of 'pretty' comments you think he should get

Btw there are many pages of condolences besides. He got plenty of post mortem respect, no need to canonise him though

Where did I claim that? You’ve lost the plot a little bit there, son. All I’ve is said there were people who were happy when he died, of which there were many. On here, on Twitter, on other forums, in “real life”

Arguing otherwise is ridiculous.

He won nothing.

There were many happy that he was no longer chairman and the two things became enmeshed. He clung on when the majority wanted him gone. He also banked quite a bit in that time

None of the comments you quoted suggested they where happy about him dying though. Not one.

I'm not arguing that it hasn't happened now btw. I'm just asking for evidence that it has because I haven't see anything like that personally.

He fought tooth and nail to bring back Roberto effing Martinez. A fella who had sued us after we fired him (because took us to the bottom half even with a 20+ goal-a-season striker and some other very good players). Would have gotten his way as well had the Belgian FA not done us a solid and refused to let fella do both jobs in the run up to the World Cup.

Don't let Moshiri's madness make you look back with rose-tinted glasses, Kenwright was massively stupid when it come to football matters (letting Moyes run his contract down, sticking with RM for so long, bringing back washed-up Rooney, etc). The only thing he ever proved adept at was managing his own PR.

I mean I literally said I wasnt going to comment on the matter, I also got a 7 day ban from the thread.

When I said it was tame, I didnt mean from me.

As above, I havent and will not be disrespectful to the dead, well some dead deserve abuse even in death, like Hitler, Saville, Pol Pot, Putin, im sure we can all agree Bill doesnt fit into that bracket.

But anyway, I just wanted to clarify that I have never and will never bad mouth Bill Kenwright, going forward.
