Bill Kenwright

Better than being in a relegation battle every year. 7th/8th gets you European footy and the chance to build on it.

Bill Kenwright was still at the club basically running it in the years we were battling relegation every year. Including in the early 00’s pre-Moyes.

Stop trying to create a Kenwright-Moshiri divide. They have both directly caused our demise, they worked together on it.

How can you say Stop trying to create a Kenwright-Moshiri divide when you've got a picture of him in your profile and Love Everton, Hate Moshiri as your tagline?

But there already is a divide. Bill gets called all sorts on here, which is fair enough.

Moshiri doesn’t receive so much as a quarter of that fume. And as I’ve said repeatedly, he’s more deserving of it than Bill after almost literally running the club into the ground on behalf of one of Putin’s mates.

I reckon when Moshiri’s leaving letter goes up on the club Twitter feed it’ll be full of replies thanking him for the stadium and praising him for at least trying to close the gap by putting ‘his own’ money in. Not his fault the PL pulled up the drawbridge, etc, etc.

both as bad as each other

Kenwright died with his legacy being nothing but failure and will go down as the worst owner in our history,

Moshiri who is also a part of that, but will AT LEAST go out with the stadium behind him, his money made it possible, not billy liars.

Anyone “thanking” Moshiri for anything is an idiot.

Anyone still trying to defend Bill Kenwright’s legacy at the club is an idiot.

There, I’ve sorted it.

Moshiri is clearly an idiot. But let's have it right, he and his mate have been very, very generous when it comes to all things Everton.

Our misfortune was having a weak as piss chair and a spineless board without the bollocks required to reign them in.

People will cry "You can't control people like that, they do what they want."

Nonsense, Amanda Staveley has bigger bollocks than most and she's keeping a sovereign wealth fund in check. That's come from her spending over 20 years in the region and living in and around those billionaires day in, day out.

Poor old Bill was standing on the sidelines with an upturned flat cap and his best little urchin face hoping for a few coins to be thrown his way.

Kenwright claimed he spoke to Moshiri every single day, sometimes multiple times a day.

It was clearly not explained what we could and couldn't do. He was the chair. He and his board were responsible for the day to day.

Moshiri and his mate suplied the money. When managers/players came from the Moshiri side of things, it was ushered through rather than make waves. Why would they jeopardise their cushy positions by you know, doing their jobs properly?

I'll thank him for the stadium.

I'll thank him for a 'having a go.'
Even Peter Johnson 'had a go' and showed ambition until his money ran out because of his failing business.

However, I have zero sympathy for him over the 100s of Millions of pounds his Everton experiment has cost him. It's his own fault for being taken in by a confidence trickster. Actually, no. That's too kind. A serial liar.

Short version:

Moshiri = Idiot
Kenwright = self centred narcissistic bellend.

See. Didn’t even have to wait for the Twitter post. God bless Farhad Moshiri, eh, lads. He just put the money in. It was Bill that spent it badly.

Kenwright’s “good times” were better than anything that’s gone on under Moshiri.

Sure you're arguing with Graeme Sharp mate, I have him on ignore, because he bores me to death, same stupid argument all the time, Kenwright = good, Moshiri = bad. Pointless debating he's not going to change being wrong.
Pathetic little Troll.

Because nobody ever tries to defend Moshiri. The reason Kenwright take so much stick is because he's presented as the worlds biggest blues that's always been above reproach. Its his own narrative that's made him so hateable, his refusal to ever accept responsibility for his failings, the blind, slavish, kopite-like devotion from his acolytes and his frankly horrible habit of stabbing anyone and everyone in the back the second it suited him for his own benefit. Moshiri is an utter idiot. Kenwright was a nasty piece of work. That's the difference.

Moshiri didn’t have a go. If he was serious he would’ve volleyed Kenwright on day 1 when he walked through the door. He not only kept him around for seven and a half years but kept waffling on about how crucial his experience was to the running of the club, even when he was practically on his deathbed and incapable of working.

Using his mate’s Monopoly money to play real life Football Manager doesn’t constitute “having a go” to me. Nor is it generous, it’s just absolutely reckless.

Why are you trying to act like Kenwright left when Moshiri took over? He has been here as chairman throughout the entire time Moshiri has been here. Of course Moshiri should’ve fired him into the sea on day 1, then you’d probably be within your rights to absolve him of any blame for anything that’s gone on in the last 7 years. Kenwright has overseen and contributed heavily to the bin fire of the last 7 years.

The problem I have with this is the change in perspective at Everton. Everton were once a behemoth of a club, during those times only trophies would do.

Its seems to me good times now equate to a bit of a cup run and top 7. When did that happen?
