Serious question to someone who is obviously a long-time poster on this forum:

What magic effect do you think BMD will have on this club?

Just because we kick a ball in a ~50000 stadium instead of a ~40000 are the worlds top players lining up to join us? (How many players are falling over themselves to join Tottenham because of the stadium? - or managers for that matter). Do you think the worlds top companies will be fighting it out to be associated with us, or we'll start raking in more sponsorship money than Spurs or Arsenal or Liverpool of City etc just because of a shiny new building in a city no one cares about?

I think you are probably correct to say football goes in cycles (until it doesn't, of course) and zero doubt Blue Bill couldn't care less about "the rabble" who have 'threatened his safety' etc; I just find out odd people cling on to this idea that "JuSt GeT tO ThE StAdIuM" as if thats a magic bullet for 'Good Times', when it is a bandaid over the real problems.

Would Shiekh Mansour have bought Man City had they not been gifted the Etihad ground or the Saudi's buying Newcastle if they were in a run down 35k ground and not SJP ?

BMD in itself isn't a game changer but for the elite type owner who wants a "name" PL club on his portfolio certainly is attracted to a 53k shiny new ground in a scenic location than a stadium situated in a run down area.

Even WHU - their revenues have jumped ahead of other teams because they are in their new gaff. Having BMD gives a sleeping giant like us a platform/profile to build off.

Kenwright’s contacts and transfer window acumen lmao lol. I mean look at the k'in state the club is in. Being investigated by pretty much everyone, the worst squad we have had in probably ever, playing full seasons without strikers, making transfers drag on for about a month and then bolloxing it up, leaving it till the last day and then not even being able to get the dregs.Throwing his own supporters under the bus to play the victim card, never once watching and supporting his new manager at goodison as a consequence to his made up headlock gate.

But yeah lets let him lead the charge again after all of the above and 2 consecutive relegation battles because everything will be great now.

We have completely lost the plot.
It's not "we", it's them. They don't really represent our sane selves

Completely agree. An maybe this is unpopular opinion but there would be no BMD without Moshiri, so as rubbish as the last 5 years have been, it will be the foundation for us to become great again.

It is always darkest before the dawn......
