Well, its August, we won.....making the most of it despite how **** we were.

Could of been a lot worse but how many times have we had the majority of the game and lost over the last few seasons? It's about time we got a win like that.

All that matters is that we are doing better than the start of last season ,normally takes us weeks to get to the 3 points mark

50% win ratio in the league, 100% in the cups!
It is on!

Also, i think Bily did well today. Improved us when he came on, showed some intent going forward.

Barkley must be disappointed, the kid looked right out scared when he was subbed off, shat a brick like. I hope this is a learning experience more than a deterrent. He still played well in the first half.

Our hoofing is looking like a complete joke though. Jags' performance today has really convinced me that we should sell him for decent money and let Heitinga make the position his own. Use the money to secure Dier permanently, isn't he supposed to be a "ball-playing" centre back? Redo the playing style, build it up from the back. Lord knows felli and rodwell/barkley/tets/neville have the passing range and ability to keep possession far better than the concept of the hoof.

Howard obvious MOM.
Distin and Baines were great too.
Arteta also deserves credit.

And as for Moyes... i dunno. As long as the situation with the club is as it is, Moyes is staying on for stability. We should also give him the honour of completing this season in the job, as march will mark his 10 years at the club. Goodison legend, that man. But a fresh rearrangement of our squad and playing style is certainly being called for.

Oh, and i am in on RFUS' ridiculous Samba-wagon. Jesus christ what a strong player. Would defo fit our mould as well, commanding presence and no-bullsh*t attitude. Would be a brilliant replacement for jags.

regarding arsenal, they're also being linked with felli and jags. speculation, but still.

If you had Chris Samba and Sylvain Distin as your CB pairing the opposition's strikers would be feigning sickness to avoid having to play.

In an ideal world I'd sell Jags for £18 million, lodge a cheeky bid for Samba at around £8 million and hope he hands in a transfer request knowing he's not a fan of the current Venky's regime, and then use the rest to hopefully bring in someone with pace. If not then trigger Jelle Vossen's release clause at £5 million.

However Arsenal are tight, so we won't sell anyone and we won't buy anyone. And even if we did sell someone the banks would probably take a chunk of the fee.

Moyes on the game

“It was nip and tuck in the first half, but in the second they put us under a lot more – thankfully we withstood most of it.

“The fact that the players stuck to the task was probably the only positive to take for us, we couldn’t take much else.”

Atleast he knows it was ****e

Hopefully he changes things around for the Villa game

Not holding my breath though

It sounds like he realised he made a cnut out of himself with that Benitezesque penalties crack and is talking with a bit more dignity again.

I was thinking the same thing

He was like a spoilt kid on Sky ready to blow

I honestly think he is plain stuborn if he doesent switch it up in the next game any idiot can see its just not working and hasent been for a while

Neville and Jags should be dropped but that requires balls,Imagine if he dropped those two it would shake the squad up a bit and say look know one is above getting left out if you play like a retard

As for his constant 1 upfront when we struggle to scores it makes me want to cry wank until my bullhead bursts

We won, who cares? We'll play better than that and lose this season.

Some people mention Moyes in every fukn post they make. ffs.
