BLOWING THE GOLDEN BOOT

Can't see him anywhere but third by end of day Sunday. Kane is going to get a couple more, and Sanchez is hot. He will probably net a couple against us. Lukaku will point to where he wants the ball...and not be there when it's played there; he will watch a lot of crosses sail over his head; he will walk a mile or two.

I hope he proves me wrong.
Seriously? Even though he has had a prolific season by our recent standards you are not happy?

I cannot begrudge Kane the golden boot. He has turned himself into a great team player, a great player and a great goalscorer.

Lukaku has had a great season generally and 24 league goals is no small feat.I do feel that he has thrown away the chance to win the golden boot and it is he that has done this as much and more than his teammates. His attitude for most of the season has been very good, but he has had a team built around him and it is a weakness in our set up this season that we were so dependent on him. Luckily he stayed fit and hardly missed a game.

But, why does he down tools as the season ends , why does he have to open his mouth about his ambitions every time he goes away to a Belgian international camp.

He is still a young man and does seem to be popular within the squad and very encouraging to youngsters that are given their chance in the first team.
I cannot help but feel at Chelsea , or wherever, he will be told to keep his mouth shut.

I've not mentioned how good he is, just pointing out people celebrating about him losing it.

If people on RAWK did the same we would laugh our heads off at how bitter and smalltime it is.

totally agree, it is a tad funny what's happened, i must admit, but i'm in no way celebrating this news. He's been with us longer than i thought he would have lasted when we originally signed him, and i can't blame him really for wanting to leave now, you see the players kane has supplying him compared to what rom has supplying him and it's a vast difference. He has himself to blame, possibly, but we have been utter crap in the closing stages of this season and it'll only make him want to leave even more imo.

I think he'll still be here after the summer and hopefully he comes back next season as the ambitious guy he has been his whole career and doesn't get too peed off with it, because well, that would be just everton.

But this celebrating over an everton player not winning the golden boot is cringey beyond belief. He may leave us, but every player leaves us eventually, i'd understand if he'd he was playing for someone else or agreed to leave us for someone only marginally better, but he hasn't, he's said he won't sign a new contract because we lacked ambition .... our fans applauded those statements and there's still a chance we could have a great season next season and get him re-signed, but he's hardly going to sign knowing our fans cheer him not winning a golden boot.

Kane's pens make up a lot of his goals!

He's brought it on himself. He's on a contract for the next three years but clearly has little or no intention of honouring it because he is bigger and better than the club. Why do some sections of our fan base feel the need to act as apologists for these mercenaries? And Everton are not unique in this respect.
Dunno mate, some of this seemed quite nasty.

Feel sorry for Rom, but farcical giving up on the whole season about a month ago means he, and the rest of the players have thrown this away.

Kane meanwhile, has had theee months out and still is brillianr
