I'd rather have the kudos of Everton having the top scorer which would up hid price tag a bit.

This. It raises the profile of not only lukaku but also the club, if we have the premier league's top scorer in our team. It can only be a good thing in our bargaining position to extract as much money as possible out of the buying club.
