Rom's detractors won't be so conceited when we lose the best striker in the Premier League and replace him with Troy Deeney.

Nowhere near it. Heavily reliant on service, he's at a club with everything geared towards him. Crosses into the box which he gets on the end off. He's anonymous against better teams because it's then when he has to manufacture something for himself. Poor first touch, not quick over five yards, doesn't go past people, doesn't link up play. He's a good big lump who finishes well.

Nah, just hoping this will give him a bit prod to move a bit. If going head to head, for personal glory, with Sanchez on the last day of the season, doesn't get him moving, nothing will. Sanchez will be pumped.

Probably not so much "happy" if he doesn't win it, just indifferent as to whether he wins it or not.

It is not like that time Big Bob was going for the thirty goals.....it was all anyone could think off in the closing weeks of the season.

Sadly, for all his goalscoring exploits Rom has not captured the hearts of Evertonians the way Big Bob or Sharpie or Super Kev or Big Dunc did.

Those lads were going for the Golden Boot, we would all be rooting for them for their own sake as much as the club's.

I hope he wins it purely because someone posted a table on here recently which showed a player from EFC finishing top scorer in the top flight more often than any other club.

So good luck, Rom....I hope you win it so an Everton player goes down as Golden Boot winner.

But if you don't win it, I won't lose any sleep because Romelu Lukaku didn't

I cant believe the attitude to our most prolific scorer for decades.

If every player we signed stayed with us 4 years, became the best in the PL at what they do then leave for a £50M odd profit on his purchase price we'd have won titles by now.

They'll be crying in their ale when some no mark the Dutchman signs up to replace him cant hit a cow on the arse with a banjo.
