I don't care about aggravating them. I care that it looks like everything we do is framed by them. The liver bird is their symbol. So we had it once upon a time? Then it's our fault for relinquishing it. And now we have the tower as our logo, and that's all that matters.

So it's a huge NO from me.

Ok. Don't do it for any reason to do with them. Do it because it's part of our history. We used it before LFC and before we used Prince Ruperts Tower, and it's also the symbol of the city.

Whether or not it's a big feature of the stadium I really think we need to reclaim its use in some way but I realise that a lot of you disagree...

What's wrong with one like the Liver building ... ?

MAGNIFICENT.

I don't see why we would want it, our emblem is Prince Ruperts Tower and the two laurel wreaths either side. Yes we used the liver bird, almost 100 years ago, but a lot has happened since then. From a "branding" perspective people associate the bird with LFC, I think it would confuse people who don't know the history to involve the liver bird with us or the new stadium

Leave it in the past where it belongs

Whatever the history ,it has become unarguably their symbol . It is synonymous with them worldwide, as sad as that is, it is an unavoidable fact. If we attempted to appropriate it's use at this,(historically speaking), late stage it would undeniably
make us appear petty , slightly pathetic and well ,bitter.
In any case we have our own symbols of which I for one am justifiably proud. Why lust after a tatty mickey?.

This ground will be situated on the historic city waterfront, hand In hand with the museums, cathedrals and Liver Birds, what more of s fitting tribute to our fantastic city; than paying homage to it, on our fantastic waterfront stadium.

(Oh... and we had it first)

I understand where you're coming from but to me (and I know some people don't care about history like I do) the historical aspects of the club are part of it's "brand" and something that attracted me to the club.

This, in a nutshell.

We can't anyway because them arrogant pigs managed to copyright it a few years back.

Did that copyright stand up?

That's one reason why IMO we should have used it previously - its a symbol of the city and ridiculous they should be able to claim it as theirs...
