Ok,point taken, but still too much sneering of their motives in my opinion
and a massive part of that is directly down to comments like yours.

Think about what you post in response to what was initially a lad who lives out of town trying to find out more about what the BU do.

Antagonistic, bad kopite wool attitudes towards fellow blues is what puts people off getting involved. You did exactly that within a couple of posts.

Seems like a credible architect with a proven track record has come up with a decent plan for £100m which is probably less than half of what a new ground would cost. Plus it happens in phases so the money would not all be needed up front. Liverpool are funding a £75m redevelopment on the basis that the increased revenue would pay for itself within three years (admittedly that is an interest-free loan). Surely this could somehow be financed in phases over a ten year period?

Bear in mind as well that in a few years time, there will be 15,000 more Kopites going the match, mostly (probably) from out of town, and all in need of a place to stay. The idea that a hotel isn't feasible appears to lack foresight. An Everton board lacking foresight - perish the thought!

It's true though, get the majority of fans on your side and through sheer weight of numbers the message will be unavoidable across the country. (You might want Goat to help with the weight of numbers here the woolly mess).

Has to be done properly or else you're in danger of looking like that Newcastle mob.

I know but let's be honest, people even questioned KEIOC!

It seems like every time somebody does stand agains this regime there is a certain section of the fan base who will discredit them, question their motives and ask what their aims are, when to me it is very clear.

Anyway, I'm done on this, more important things to concern me. I just felt like piping up as I believe these are good people who want questions answered and the club to be run more professionally and not just for the ego of a theatre impresario.

If the cost is £100m work should start tomorrow as it could be financed. Very much doubt it is though.

Norwich City have had a successful hotel at Carrow Road for the last 7 years. It opened as part of their redeveloped Jarrold Stand.

There's a lot more to do in Liverpool than there is Norwich. There's clearly a demand for hotels. A hotel attached to a historic Premier League football clubs' magnificent redeveloped stadium would be a draw. There's at least one major match, often 2, played in the area for 38 weeks of the year, and that's before business conferences and basic tourism for the city is factored in.

You need to have a vision. It's the whole point behind regeneration projects - taking an area and transforming it.

Your last paragraph is spot on imo mate. You need to have a vision. You need to believe in that vision and sell it to the majority. In Goodisons current condition do I think a hotel is a good idea? No I don't. A redeveloped Goodison though with not just hotel rooms but corporate and hospitality then yes why not.

Sometimes you have to think outside the box.
