You don't make it easy for supporters to jump on board when you call fellow blues "ignorant". Some people just disagree with your way of doing things.

It's very "our way or the highway" with the BU, they have some valid points but the moment you disagree with a single statement you're not a proper blue and a Kenwright lover. Very hard to work with a group with their views so set in concrete.
It's this that I take issue with also, with any group.

Middle ground is required.

Nah, I don't wonder that at all. I get sad that people are so ignorant and unwilling to give fellow Evertonians a chance though. So quick to mock and sneer, with no positive contributions. Seemingly intent on keeping the status quo, occasionally shrugging their shoulders and having a moan, but not being very visionary about things and not having any will power to stand up and say that something isn't good enough and should be changed. If you care, there's no shame in wanting the best and pushing for the best. If you care, but can't be bothered to suggest how things can be better, than that's a very sad state of affairs.

I asked a genuine question to get some knowledge on something I don't know much about, so I can educate myself to make my own decision and you came across as an arrogant know it all when you could have explained why you're passionate about it.

If people stated clearly exactly what they disagreed with, then perhaps labelling wouldn't be used.

And to be honest, the Blue Union gets labelled (and libelled, funnily enough) plenty of times. It's unfair on both sides. The facts that there's actual 'sides' is very sad.

But I said that questions their motives.

How anybody could even think they want nothing but the best options for this football club when they do what they do in their own times and at their own expense.

If you want the best for the club you'd be more open to other views and treat other fans with more respect in my opinion, there's a bunch of good ideas and I'm sure they mean well but it's a very inclusive group being formed.

Why are you assuming their "hate" is blind ? There's a lot to dislike about this board's track record for most reasoned observers.

I mean the type who just hate Kenwright and blame him for ALL the club's problems when it's clearly not him who is the main problem (least in my opinion). Some people hate him so badly they wouldn't be arsed if something terrible happened to him. I don't subscribe to that belief at all and neither do the majority of people who agree with the BU, least in my experience. The criticism to be aimed at all members of their board for the pathetic business acumen and repeated failings.

There's zero point in discussing anything with most of them though, because you get labelled "ignorant" immediately. It's happened for years on this forum and it won't change.

It's not about disagreeing, it's about moving forward together, something the BU won't do. Honestly, stop looking at what other fans are doing and take a look in the backyard.

But the real question is what are you doing mate?

I don't know what that means, but I think it means having a rant in a hotel with about 70 lads, is doing.

The doing means you are above reflection, analysis and questions, because the doing is something akin to a new wand, to our muggle understanding.

In my opinion, there are two types of fan who question the motives of either the BU or KEIOC.

1. the type of fan who does not give a toss about off field matters and is oblivious to anything apart from what occurs on the pitch.

2. The sneering pro board wally, who hates the fact that somebody is trying to do something positive and attacks them in any way possible out of pure bitterness.
and it's this kind of attitude that's putting people off trying to find out more and going with the nea outlook

This isn't the BoysInBlue thread mate. Probably best to stay on topic.

Here's a good website to find out more about the Blue Union: http://www.theblueunion.co.uk/

How do you know it was '70 lads having a rant'? Where you there?

This sounds like this dreaded new phenomenon of 'labelling' to me.
