https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meh

Meh is an interjection used as an expression of indifference or boredom. It may also mean "be it as it may". It is often regarded as a verbal shrug of the shoulders. The use of the term "meh" shows that the speaker is apathetic, uninterested, or indifferent to the question or subject at hand. It is occasionally used as an adjective, meaning something is mediocre or unremarkable.

Thanks mate.

And you wonder why people don't get interested in them.

Liverpool are redeveloping their ground.
Tottenham are redeveloping theirs.
Man Utd redeveloped theirs in the mid-90s. Ditto Newcastle & Villa.
Chelsea redeveloped theirs in the 1990s and have plans on the table to do so again.

All of those grounds have had major work done over the years.

Goodison is lucky if it gets a lick of paint every few years.

Honestly don't get the negativity towards the BU. They are a group of normal lads who are Evertonians unhappy with the board and want change. It's not their job to find a buyer or come up with better ways of running the club. The fact is, the current board are shortchanging the fans and the ONLY people who have organised themselves to ask for change are the BU. It's so easy for people to snipe at the BU instead of doing anything themselves

Im no expert, but ive heard quotes are around 200m for a new stadia.

The foundations under Goodison are 120? years old, the plumbing, every single brick, no way does most of it even get past planning, they seem to think it could be done in phases while keeping the ground open, its ok if your just sticking a tier on say The Park End, but anywhere else and im telling ya, it cant be done. It will cost a lot more than 200m.

Look if these lids think it can be done, fair play, but for all the plans, I havent seen a single figure about how much it will cost.

Fair reply mate and totally understand where you are coming from. I honestly haven't got a clue how much steel costs these days so wouldn't know if it would cost 100m or 200m or 300m, I don't think we could afford even 30-40m if I'm being honest.

the fact that BU has difficulty in gaining the support of the majority says more about how BU have acted and communicated than it does about the bulk of Everton's support.

Not really - it says a lot about the club's power within the local media to tarnish a group's name and then give them no air time or print space.

It's an open secret that Radio City has a ban on anyone ringing up the phone in to criticise the board because Graeme 'Two men and a dog' Sharp hosts the phone in. Radio Merseyside to a lesser extent isn't keen on board criticism. The Red Echo banned its' reporters from attending and reporting on any of the Blue Union meetings from 2011 to 2014.

None of this is fantasy. All of this true and well known. Like with anything, hearts and minds need to be won. If there's no coverage, especially positive coverage, nothing gains traction and we get threads like this full of people sneering, mocking, bashing fellow Evertonians for suggesting ideas on how to move the club forward.

What does the club do? What does the club suggest? At least these supporters are trying.

And these ARE viable ideas, because lots of other seemingly lesser clubs than Everton can do redevelopment stuff like this. There is no reason why we can't, and if there is a reason, it's because someone is at fault and not running their business properly.

Another defeatist attitude, determined and seemingly happy to keep us mediocre without giving any ideas a chance, or knocking the obviously incompetent status quo.

Need to label much, why mate?

Do we have the numbers of those who attended the meeting?

Why does seeing the WHP site as a feasible project make someone defeatist, no one even mentioned the "status quo".

The travellodge idea was bad the first time around, the reboot doesn't add any extra weight and smacks of a lack of any originality or new ideas.

Does the YouTube clip from the early days still exist.
