Was a regular user on Bluekipper until it lost the plot, it was so different from this place, I was in shock when I got a warning on here for swearing, where you could get away with anything on Bluekipper, the arguments on Kipper could be epic and would amuse me.

i think the twins were severton and they didn't half get some stick. i used to love john99's rantings on the dangers of goodison burning down due to beeing wooden. oh and the EO v EE interforum wars.

This place is alot more regulated. Which has its good and bad points. Mainly better.

When we popcorn on here its about the issues not personal to the poster. If the poster says something ridiculous generally you'd expect someone to pull them up on it.

But for me, I don't care anything about the person just the issues. Its why my popcorn tastes so sweet.


On bluekipper they did not make that distinction and everything became personal. Not surprised it imploded as it was like the wild west with no sheriffs in town.

Toaster head Thread was my favourite.

IIRC it started to melt when user IAMYAK who used to give some decent itk info was hacked and posted Moutinho had signed on deadline day.

It was a shame, i was lead to believe it was the people running it that killed it? i dont know.

I was on Kipper for years, and the Blue Room before that and to be honest Kipper used to be absolutely brilliant and still to this day I'm good mates with a number of people who I met through that site.
Don't get me wrong, there where a number of absolute blurts but on the whole it was a great laugh.
To this day I still remember the Pete Price and All Sports threads, oh my God they where boss.

Bluekipper was my introduction to the world of Everton forums as an international supporter. Was an awesome site a decade or so ago. Much like GOT is now.But like most things in life, it ran its race.
Hoping GOT stays as is and goes onwards and upwards for many decades to come. As a passionate international Evertonian, I need such a forum to feel attached to my club...and Everton needs such a forum of attachment
