They've won loads more than us though mate.

Obviously we've behaved a lot more impeccable to counter that like. And our players and manager haven't endorsed racism.

Everton 2-1.

Must. Get. Back. In. Line.
Very true about the winning stuff. But this is about fans. I have some red friends who I love dearly but when the talk comes to football they all turn into absolute knobs. Take a look at today. Remembering Rhys Jones, also the depression thread on here. We are classy in an understated completely Everton way.
Don't conform. It would be very dull if you did!!

I think there is a difference.

On a whole a kopite tends to believe far more in their players/team and refuses to look past the obvious. No player is crap in their eyes until they are either sold or want to be sold. Everything is always positive and every potential new signing is going to be brilliant for them, even if it is some free transfer.

Whereas evertonians are a lot more receptive to good and bad. They don't have to look for the best, only what they see. So they get behind the good and turn away from the bad. We have no prior expectations anymore so can enjoy and go through emotions with our beloved club, for good or bad. Makes us a proper club, with passionate fans.

Supporting your team and blind loyalty are two different things. We know the difference, they don't

I've got more than a few close red mates and each and every one of them is sound, despite serious antagonising from me, as @GrandOldTeam can testify after witnessing a "reunion" with some of them the other week.

But that would make for dull internetting mate.

Lid you're the most kopite behaving poster on here. I'm astounded you can write this.

They didn't used to be so different...i.e. a generation and a half ago when I was there. And here in NZ they are not rabid.
But in Liverpool (and Scandanavia)?...they appear lost causes

There's history, and there's heritage.

We've won stuff, too. We've also contributed far more than them in way of the things fans of all clubs take for granted nowadays.

Their heritage includes Heysel and Athens. And of course there's there's this...

They might have had something to shout about once, but there's just as much they should be ashamed about. 40,000+ there that day, and to every one of them, it was all 'banter'...

I get your angle mate but the vast majority of them wasn't at Heysel and any same kopite (of which many exist in Liverpool) rightfully condemns it.

I honestly think they have a problem with their wool kopites but the local reds know it.

Their plassies are as bitter as they come

Bile filled after signing up on the glory hunt but having to endure a generation of Ferguson dry humping them with a grin on his grid.

How much difference is there really between the two sets of fans?

I know it's an age of acute Internet and media partisanship but when you study the behaviours we label of theirs and criticise them for, you see that there's more than a minority of ours with the same behaviours or approach.

Poll included.
we are Corinthians
they are roided up failed Olympians
