The reality is he’s simply not good enough. No matter how sound he comes across on social media or how much he wants it, he shouldn’t be here and with the wages he is on he needs to go.

Not his fault but that’s life.

All the goons on Instagram kissing his arse cause he can do a few flicks need to swerve it.

I genuinely don't dislike any players in our squad on a personal level apart from Pickford who I think is just an absolute cretin.

Nobody can blame the likes of Bolasie, Siggy, Sandro, Niasse et al for staying at the club when we're paying them over double what any sane club would pay them. It's a short career and a footballer is a long time retired.

I'd do exactly the same and so would anybody else, whether they admit it or not.

You really hate the guy but I feel abit sorry for him tbh. Just wants to do well and i can’t fault his attitude.
Agree completely... its the people/system that was in place which signed these boys that deserves stick not the players, as long as they give 100% effort... different story if they are knocking back decent offers to move on & are just happy taking a wage

He really wants to play for Everton and that's why I can't dislike him. Is he good enough, unfortunately not. It's a shame really because when he signed up, the fee was always going to be very difficult to live up to and he started quite well . The injury just derailed his career.

Good luck to him though, he doesn't look like he's ready to give up, he just needs a club and fans that will love him again.

Out of all the players that need moving on he's the one that I think can have some effect this season. Simply because of his pace and power. I fully expect him to get a few assists this season when he comes on half way through the second half against the weaker teams.

Mate ... he’s 30 and has not had a single good season in his career .. wake up and smell the coffee.. he’s pooh and always has been
Like I said, The Professor will be the judge.

I was never a fan boy but was willing to give the benefit of the doubt. He played well yesterday, bar the miss. Better than Bernard, Iwobi and Walcott.

I know they are not ideally what we want, but they are not all going to leave either. If he had been available last season, he would have played.

All the goons don’t make the decision. Only one opinion counts.

He is deffo not good enough for us but same applies to a good few. If we are not to sign anyone else then I would keep hold of him. I think he would actually cause more problems for the opposition than Iwobi and Walcott (currently). I know he has a comedy element about him but he at least attempts to beat players and will cause a bit of mayhem. Maybe he is not as good as tracking back but going forward I would rather him than the ex-gooners.

I’m judging him from what he costs us and what his contribution is.

He needs to go.

Nah you were pretty upset by his instagram. You can’t fault someone for wanting the biggest wage on offer and thats what they decided at the time he was worth.

Agree that his time is up but again, can’t fault him for trying.

Watched the 2nd half just now, and thought he was deceptively impressive. Looked powerful and quick, went past people easily. His end ball needs a bit of work, but was clearly putting a lot of effort in. Wish him well.

They're not kissing his arse because he can do a few flicks though. They see a guy who, regardless of opinions on ability or worthiness, has, at the very least, the very 1st attribute any player we sign should have. A desire to wear the shirt and work hard. You can't fault him for that.

The fact he played well (barring the obvious comical miss) is a bonus, and he looked to offer us something we very much missed last year. Pace, power and the ability to actually carry the ball forward with purpose.

Personally, I think he's leapfrogged Iwobi and Bernard as an option out wide. Bernard, in fairness, has shown glimpses he might be better inside, but I don't think he offers enough to be an option out wide unless we are really short.

But back to Bolasie, and I certainly think he has done himself no harm at all. I can think of at least 5 players I'd like to see go before him.
